Become a Cleaver Trainer

Share Your Passion for Coffee. Teach Others. Earn Flexible Income.

At Cleaver Group, we believe great coffee experiences shouldn’t be limited to cafés.

Every week, home coffee enthusiasts purchase espresso machines worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars, yet many struggle to get the most from their equipment. That’s where our trainers come in.

We’re building a network of passionate coffee professionals and experienced home baristas across Australia and internationally to deliver our highly-rated Home Barista Courses directly to customers in their local area.

Whether you’re an experienced barista, coffee roaster, café owner, hospitality trainer or simply someone with exceptional coffee knowledge and a passion for teaching, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

As a Cleaver Trainer, you’ll deliver engaging 90-minute Home Barista Courses designed to help customers gain confidence using their espresso machines at home.

More Than a Training Role

A Pathway Into the Coffee Industry

For many people, coffee starts as a passion. Over time, that passion often grows into bigger ambitions—managing a café, roasting coffee, launching a coffee brand or even opening a venue of their own.

While Cleaver Trainers operate as independent instructors, we’re building a network of coffee professionals who are committed to growing their skills, expanding their opportunities and creating meaningful careers in coffee.

As our network grows, trainers may gain access to:

  • Advanced coffee education and mentoring
  • Opportunities to deliver premium workshops and events
  • Connections with café owners, roasters and hospitality professionals
  • Industry networking opportunities
  • Experience building and managing a customer base
  • Leadership opportunities within the Cleaver Trainer Network

Thinking About Owning a Café One Day?

Many successful café owners begin by mastering the fundamentals: customer service, coffee quality, training and operations.

By working directly with coffee enthusiasts and helping others improve their skills, Cleaver Trainers gain valuable experience that extends well beyond making great coffee.

Our long-term vision is to support ambitious coffee professionals as they progress through their careers, whether that means becoming a senior trainer, building a coffee-related business, managing a venue or pursuing café ownership in the future.

We’re not just building training courses—we’re building a community of people who are passionate about coffee and excited about where that passion can take them.
